World of Warcraft is a long-standing MMORPG and truly a legend within the genre. This game utilizes a monthly subscription model which offers a reduced price if you pay for multiple months at a time. The game has seven expansions currently with another releasing soon. These expansions are paid; however, the company does include older expansions into the base game as newer expansions release. This helps new players get into the game without requiring paying for each separate expansion. The game also offers an in-game cash shop which offers cosmetic items, mounts, and toys which don’t provide an advantage in terms of gameplay. Lastly there are “WoW Tokens” which are bought with cash and sold within the in-game auction house for in-game gold. When a player purchases this token with in game gold, they can use it for 30 days of game time in place of a paid cash subscription.

This game does offer quite a variety of content. Quests, professions, collections, reputation, pet battles, player vs player both casual and rated, dungeons, raids, and more. Each of the areas I listed also break down quite a bit further for more depth. For example, pet battles involves leveling pets, making teams, choosing the right abilities to use based on the enemy type, collecting different pet types, and even taking on pet dungeons! You can try this game on a FREE trial character up to level 20 to see if you’d like the game. Keep in mind, quite a bit of content opens up at max level.
