Monetization-wise, it is not aggressive; you just pay once and get the whole content. (The only exception is the dark arts extension). However, if you ask me if I get my money’s worth, definitely no! The gameplay is extremely boring and repetitive (after the first 10 hours or so), with the same tasks (Merlin trials for 126387213 times). For an open-world game, the player’s interaction with surroundings is extremely limited. You have dialogues with options, and any choice you make in these dialogues DOES NOT MATTER at all. It did not help I played this after Baldur’s Gate3; it was like the day after you got your bachelor’s degree in digital arts, you are back to pre-school coloring squares and circles.
Unless you are obsessed with Harry Potter content, you can find better indie games to spend your money on. Regretting my purchase.
