I used to play this game for about quite a few years, starting with the initial release and quit prior to the time when they introduced the Battle pass and other features. At that time I had a full collection for most sets and even had a legend smurf account in another server (Asia as far as I remember). After not playing the game for just a year and a half, it was so devastating to return and I felt like whether I won’t return at all, or I have to pour lots of money to catch up.

I had quite the same experience. It seemed impossible to catch up when I returned, after taking a hiatus post Ben Brode.
